It is with great pride and profound gratitude that I address you today to celebrate a significant moment in the history of higher education in Djibouti.

When we talk about the educational landscape of our beloved country, it is impossible not to mention the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences, a pioneering institution that paved the way for private higher education in Djibouti. Founded on an ambitious vision and fueled by a burning desire to serve our Djiboutian and regional community, the Academy was born from a humble idea that germinated in the minds of the decision-makers of the Salam group.

The history of our Academy is one of inspiring transformation, where ideas were shaped and refined through fruitful exchanges with the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences in Cairo. After numerous meetings and constructive discussions, our combined efforts led to a historic agreement to establish the branch of the Arab Academy in Djibouti. Through our collective determination, a direct contract with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Djibouti was concluded, thus paving the way for our institutional legitimacy.

Since our inauguration in 2016, we have been committed to providing quality higher education that meets the evolving needs of our community. Guided by our mission to provide distinguished educational service, we have worked tirelessly to offer diverse and high-quality academic programs in an environment conducive to the intellectual and personal growth of our students.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to the enlightened political leadership, particularly His Excellency the President of the Republic, Ismail Omar Guelleh, and his esteemed government, for their unwavering support of our educational project. Their commitment to academic excellence has been an essential driver of our success, and we are grateful for their bold vision in favor of the development of private education in Djibouti.

Today, the Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences in Djibouti is a thriving institution, serving over 2000 students in various scientific disciplines, taught in Arabic, French, and English. With a prestigious name and title, we are committed to continuing our mission with dedication and excellence, preparing our students to face the challenges of the modern world with confidence and competence.

Together, we are writing a new chapter in the history of education in Djibouti, and I am proud to walk alongside you in this noble endeavor.
